Project Overview
This historic 32’ x 73’, two-story unreinforced brick building was temporarily reinforced, elevated, and moved about 60 feet to provide for a realignment of Boones Ferry Road. New footings were formed and poured underneath and an internal wood-framed structure was constructed to current wind and seismic standards. Foam adhesive attaches the old brick as a veneer to the new structure. There is a large cantilevering steel column for lateral stability in the North end wall.
